log 10: content

scrapped

One of the bigger skills I wanted to learn during this process was content creation. My goals were to stay consistent and try to get better at things like video editing. I have to say, I completely underestimated it. Video editing takes up a lot of time, especially because I’m also learning along the way. But what I’ve noticed is filming actually takes up a lot more of my time. I always try to get more shots but then I just scrap the whole project. In the end I didn’t necessarily “waste” my time but I feel like I’m doing it wrong. I might have to plan out my videos a little bit more or follow a simple style that doesn’t require a lot of editing or moving shots (this is what I’m doing because who wants to plan stuff…). And by no means do I want to become a content creator, or “influencer”. In fact, if I could just not have to worry about marketing that would be great! With the boom of TikTok, social media has become such a powerful tool for marketing something. Which is exactly what I’m trying to use it for (so if you’re reading, please go like my stuff). I did find a newfound respect for content creators however. It is a lot to plan, film/create, and stay consistent.
