I think it’s such a shame that people use tools like Chat GPT to cheat or plagiarise. The development of AI chatbots has been a glorious tool to help me streamline my learning. I used to ask simple questions like “What is ___?” or “How many ___ ?”. Simple questions lead to simple answers. I was never really utilizing the full extent of the AI tool. After a trip with my friend who is in love with Chat GPT, I found out much more you can ask. “Provide a basic definition of __ and provide 3 real-life examples.” You can even make flashcards of sorts to help teach you something, it’s incredible. It helps my curiosity because you can ask it anything and everything. I would go back and re-check some data but the answers to well-known queries are spot on. While I’m in Japan I don’t plan on doing that much coding because I realize that I need to learn a whole new language. However, what I can do is write out the documentation for my app. My prompt for Chat GPT is “Write me a documentation template for a simple fitness app.” It pushed out a bunch of sections that I am going to fill out, there are even things I haven’t implemented yet. Doing this is going to help me set the stage for the second development of my app after I learn React Native. It’s going to be a lot of work but I am excited to get back on the grind and back to my routine.
