log 104: travel
paris and london
This past week I took a trip back to Europe to spend some time with my girlfriend. It was a nice break from all the work I had been doing but I knew that I had a lot more work to get done when I got back. However, this trip was planned a while ago and I wanted to focus on the present. I would hate to go all the way to Paris and London to only think of work the whole time. We had a wonderful trip and made a lot of great memories. But for me, the highlight was definitely taking her to watch Les Miserables at Sondheim theater. I have seen the show twice before, but I was very young and didn’t remember much. I was amazed. I had goosebumps the entire show. It was a story that I remember being very engrossed in. Yet this time what was truly amazing were the performers. Absolutely incredible voices with so much power behind them. I was inspired. You could tell how much work they put into their craft and it shines very brightly. I don’t ever imagine myself becoming a singer or performer, but I do want to be a master of my craft. Is it going to be programming? Physical Therapy? Strength and Conditioning? Cooking and nutrition? All of the mentioned? I have no clue, and that’s the exciting part.
