log 107: packing
moving
Having to manage the move to California has also been on the top of my list. As much as I would like to suffer in the cold of Boston, I’m ready to leave. But having to manage coding, working at the tavern, and exercising has been a lot. While packing up my house I realized that I had so much that I didn’t need, or even want anymore. How come I decided to buy it in the first place? I had a bunch of clothes and little things that I don’t even use anymore. As the first proper move as an adult I realized how much materialism has affected me. I have come to realize how much I have been given and how I need to dial it back. I didn’t need a lot of the things I got so I should think a bit more before getting it in the future. With my move to California, this is going to be my mindset. Take as much as I can from my Boston home, then live simply. Of course tools are one thing, but junk is another. And I shouldn’t collect junk.
