log 148: herbs

plant

Every once in a while you have to go do something random. While I was in San Diego I was really into planting flowers. It was a weirdly intense task of changing the soil, planting things, and watering. But it was worth it in the end. Today, after my second orientation, I decided that I want to plant more things. My real inspiration for my gardening phase was actually herbs. I wanted to plant herbs and edible flowers to use in my cooking. However, I knew I was leaving San Diego for Paris and they would eventually die. At least the flowers looked pretty. Anyways, after a trip to Home Depot I secured a really nice wooden barrel, and 4 herbs. The classic poultry herbs, rosemary, thyme, oregano, and Thai chillies because they plant well. I’m so excited to plan them so that I can finally put my balcony to use.
