Somehow I managed to do all my asynchronous online work before I took my vacation to Montreal. A lot of my classmates thought I was crazy for deciding to visit my girlfriend the week before midterms start, and they were right. The amount of work we all have right now is going through the roof and we are all starting to feel it a little bit. But isn’t that the perfect excuse to hop on a plane? I managed to get ahead in my work so that I could spend some quality time with my girl who I don't get to see very often. We had a ton of fun walking around the city and trying out the restaurant she works at. It’s nice to destress and take some time to appreciate the hard work other people put into their craft. Her restaurant treated us really well and we had a romantic time overanalyzing all the food. Even though I knew it was going to be a lot of work for a short weekend trip, it was definitely worth it. Returning to LA was sad but I feel energized and ready to tackle what comes next in school… 5 weeks of exams in a row.
