log 182: study

dedication

This past study the faculty from my patient management program hosted an open office hours for students to come in and practice their skills before our final practical. With so much on the line, I expected everyone to show up. And everyone did! It was so nice to see a bunch of students sacrifice their Sunday morning to practice. It made me happy with our profession and how we all aim to help people get better. I went into the session feeling confident with my skills but toward the end I realised how much there actually was to understand. Normative values, proper positioning of the patient and the therapist, patient comfort, proper palpation, the list goes on. Thinking about it in person isn’t too bad, but thinking about how to implement it into a computerized program gets difficult. What kind of laws and regulations am I facing if I apply care through an algorithm? While the semester is coming to an end and I feel like I’ve learned so much, there's so much to do over the holiday. I need to keep moving my team forward to develop a well rounded app that can do all that I hope for. As I’ve written before and will write again in the future, the entrepreneur never sleeps.
