log 19: change

madman

After three weeks of nonstop work, I’m finally taking a break. Letting myself sit back and view my current progress from a different lens so that I can continue to ensure that everything is going on the path I need. During this step back I will make sure that the user is still the number one priority, and see if I can use other work as a reference to build upon. I need to think clearly about the next steps I am taking because there is now a hard deadline that I need to meet. Before I move to France there are things that I need to accomplish so that progress can keep progressing.

  1. I want to have my app ready for close friends/ family to test.

  2. I need to get my CSCS certification

  3. I want to have my company set up properly so that I can have a seamless startup.

I also impulsively decided to move across the country. So I will have a lot of time to think about how and what I will do with my life over the next few months. About 40 minutes into my drive from Boston to Buffalo, NY, I realized that I just made a huge decision. Moving to a place where I don’t know anyone or have any connections. The only reason I could think of why I would do it is, why not? All the work I’m doing is from a laptop which means I have the freedom to travel. But with freedom comes more time dedicated to something that isn’t my app. Which is why I put an incredible amount of time into it before I left. That is the balance I want. Work hard and play hard. It is going to be a change in my life but I am ready for the learning experience.
