log 198: checklist
completion
This week I was able to complete the majority of the tasks on my checklist. I was able to finish my templates for exercise programs with the new knowledge I gained during my seminar, the new updates to my exercise database, and another meeting with a professor. The knowledge I gained from my previous meeting is invaluable, so why not ask another? One of my professors from my therapeutic exercise class had a similar background to mine, except she is established. I wanted to pick her brain about the theory behind Kynetik and check the general methodologies I use. Turns out, I’m doing a lot of things right. There was a lot of great feedback and questions she asked which made me think more about why I’m doing the things I am. It was a huge confidence boost ahead of my next release. I’m more than glad I took the time to seek another opinion. However, it’s important to note the purpose of the meeting wasn’t to get a confidence boost, it was to check my work. It is still important to keep things a secret, like data and the algorithm, to protect the company and intellectual property. I shared but didn’t overshare.
Key lesson: Get expert opinions about difficult topics, but do not overshare information that could jeopardize your innovation.
