log 209: launch

official

Today, March 18th, I finally launched Kynetik. It’s been a long time coming and I’ve learned a lot about a lot. Somehow I still don’t know anything, but that’s besides the point. Kynetik has grown so much since the start and I’m happy with the direction it’s going. I’m excited to see what the future holds. But right now I want to get rid of these damn bugs. I think I’m forgetting lessons I learned in the past. On one hand I forgot how long it took me to get rid of bugs. And on the other hand, I recall a meeting with Steven Lim, a Singapore Software CEO. He said his team releases a version then takes two weeks to bug fix. During that time his other team is working on the next version. This overlapping promotes development while also taking into account the bug fixing. Kynetik right now is in a fragile state. I need my first three months to be good and build momentum. The issue with my team is that they are working on the next steps while also developing other features. While it’s still within the MVP, it’s the official launch. I need bugs to get ironed out quickly. I think there’s a better way we can organize the launch schedule in the future.
