beta

As I continue to prepare for the alpha test amongst friends and family, I need to start thinking about the beta. A well-experienced programmer friend told me, “You just have to keep testing until it’s something people want to use.” And that is precisely what I am going to do for new features. However, I need to start building the other aspects of my company in order to have a successful beta test. At the top of that list is marketing. Everything else is a tier below it in terms of importance. No matter how many new features I add, it's crap with lousy marketing. My main business plan for Paris is to learn and develop my marketing skills. I imagine I’ll be doing minimal coding because I’m going to replace that time with culinary school.

As for my alpha test. I continue to invite people for testing, marking the feedback I hope they provide. I decided to cut the time frame for the test in half. Initially, it was three months. But after thinking about it, I think it makes more sense to keep it short. I have limited functions, no animations, no photos, no sound effects, etc. A small amount of features means a quick test. It's also like a teaser. The prelude to a grand slam. I can't give away too much now, and I don’t want people getting tired of it. Especially because I haven’t gamified it yet. At this stage, it’s just a workout app, boring. Before France and the test, I’ll make an announcement post with my main Instagram to try and pull people to follow the app. After that, I might let my main one fizzle out. Never wanted to be a social media “influencer”, yuck.
