test?

This past week was a small but big step forward in the preparation for the testing phase. After finishing the second version of my program generation algorithm, I went back to edit all of the functions still in their v1 stage. A lot of it was vanity, how it looked, and how it was displayed to the client. Arguably, this is the most important part because the client doesn’t care about what happens in the back end. They pay for what they can see and what they can use. With that in mind, I spend a lot of time re-implementing and improving features. After a couple of days of hard work, things are looking much better! This week I also started to look into color schemes. In the early stages of my business, I asked my lawyer how to protect my work. It is very difficult to copyright code directly because of some complicated property laws and big corporations like Apple. However, one thing that I can protect is the layout and color scheme. The brand, in a broad sense. Currently, creating a brand is a medium priority because, throughout my first alpha test, it will be all friends and family with the goal of testing features and functions. In the second test, sometime in 2024, I’d be opening up to the public. That is when I want to have a more solid brand set up. But for now, all I’m going to worry about is color schemes.

What I like about this color scheme is its simplicity. I’m a little hesitant with the minty green color but that is interchangeable. These four colors will represent the background, secondary background, button color, and text color.

What I like about this color scheme is its gradient. Very simple and flows quite well. This is the current one I have set up in my app because it looks fantastic. However, I am a little hesitant about the purple. It looks well but purple may not be my thing.

One colossal feature I implemented this week was a function I called “configureScreen()”. Every screen has it. It basically changes and sets a default to all the elements on the screen so I don’t have to go do it manually. This helps me a lot because I just add a new color scheme, load it, and see if it works. Otherwise, I would have to do it manually and it would take a much longer time. Taking time to future-proof things is worth it!
