log 96: completion

course

I have been putting all my time into watching and coding along with the React Native course. At a certain point, I stopped to think, “why am I watching this?” I already watched enough where I knew how to get the basic set up going to start exploring around the language. But I’m sticking with the course until the end for two reasons. The first is that I think it’s important to finish it because I started it. Even if I know I could learn as I experiment, I know finishing the course will help me convert my app much faster. The second is to learn standard operating procedures. One of the problems I had while learning and experimenting with Swift was that I knew nothing about standard operations and formatting. Everything I did was from exploration and trials. This time around, I want to make a long lasting app without having to switch the language again so SOP matters much more. I want people to be able to look at my app to see what needs to be changed without having to decipher my structure first. In my upcoming schedule, I will hopefully be chatting with a CEO of a SQL tech company in Singapore. I’ll be asking him questions that help me understand the structure he set up for his company. I want to learn at what point did he begin to hire and for any advice.
